Galtee Honey Farm

Established in 1970, Galtee Honey Farm is one of Ireland’s longest-running honey farms. It is known for its dedication to conserving the Native Irish Black Honey Bee. Its owners, Aoife and Micheal, are third and fourth-generation beekeepers and provide education and mentorship within the Irish beekeeping community. They also produce raw Irish honey and beeswax products for their customers. Their 170 honey bee colonies are dotted throughout the scenic Galtee Vee Valley, where the bees collect honey from wildflowers such as hawthorn, blackberry blossom and white clover.
