Barbara Russell completed her training in the Cordon Blue Cookery School, London in 1981. She did private catering on a game estate in Cambridgeshire, England, for a year. In 1982 Barbara was head hunted back to work for John and Sue Magnier, Coolmore Stud, where she cooked for the family, private and corporate catering.

Barbara started her catering business in 1990. The business has gone from strength to strength growing over the years to becoming one of a leading catering company, bring the Tipperary food story almost nationwide.

Barbara joined the Tipperary Food Producers network 2007, looking after some of their events. Such as the 2nd Long table dinner-open air, in Cahir Castle. In 2013 the 7th Long Table Dinner went to Brussels, the home of the European Union. The Great Taste awards in the Rock of Cashel in 2016.
