As members of our food producer network, our commitment is to harness the rich diversity of raw materials offered by Tipperary’s natural surroundings, crafting foods of the utmost nutritional quality. We take pride in presenting these offerings not only to our local community but also to consumers beyond the county.

Authenticity and locality

For visitors exploring Tipperary, the expectation is rightly set that our local food produce should be readily available for them to experience. Authenticity and locality are paramount, a responsibility shared among producers, distributors, and the chefs preparing these delightful foods.

Initiated by the Tipperary Food Producers Network in 2019, the Tipperary Breakfast Champions concept emerged. Producers collaborated with breakfast-serving establishments to ensure a substantial portion of their menu was sourced from local producers, using indigenous ingredients.

In 2022, we’ve expanded this initiative beyond breakfast establishments to encompass all Food Service Businesses in Tipperary—hotels, restaurants, cafés, food stores, delis, butchers, and more.

Our goal is to support our Tipperary Food Champions—the individuals and businesses showcasing our produce—just as they support us as producers.
